It's nothing new that Californians are waiting for an overdue state budget. Community Report: McDonald's Happy Meals
If you plan on visiting a Santa Clara county McDonald's in the near future, your kids might be disappointed when a toy doesn't come in their happy meal. That's because the county board of supervisors has approved a ban on the toys to put pressure on fast food restaurants to improve the nutritional quality of their menus. Many opponents say the government is overstepping it's boundaries -- while those in favor say it's a positive step in fighting childhood obesity. Lacey Daniell spoke with Chris Wilder, the executive director of the Valley Medical Center Foundation in Silicon Valley, who says he originally had doubts about the ban.
